Hi Guys,
Wow, has the time flown by. I have a few lame excuses for not doing a better job of keeping up on the blog, etc.:
1) I just finished the Mesa State Math and Science Summer Institute. Basically that means I have had 8 hours of class each day for the past two weeks followed by hours of homework. I have a new appreciation for you guys!
2) Jasmine turned 4 on August 1st. Planning and executing the birthday party were as difficult as the class!
Anyway, we are still on "moderation mode" with the blog until we can get a secure sign up sheet (when we get back into class), so just post your comments and I will pass them along each day. I know it takes most of the fun out of it, but at least we can still keep each other posted on what we are doing.
I hope everyone is having a great summer and is beginning to get just the tiniest bit excited about getting back to school. It took me until last week to get that little itch. Hopefully you all have it!
Oh, and you should have the #10's done by this Saturday.

i dont wanna go to school. at all. i love summer. and im gonna move to somewhere that summer is all the time. and me and maddie are gonna live in our double twin motels so ya. if u want to join us then u hafta pay. butitsworthit. so ya. and cook. who like isnt at our school anymore? cuz i heard that atwood was gone, gregg was comin back, idinger is gone, and requa is gone....????
Here are the changes that I know of:
Ms. Atwood has moved to Fruita Middle to teach 6th grade and we have hired Ms. Brumback (not Mr. Gregg) to fill her position. Mr. Eidinger did take a position at GJHS, but I don't know who took his place. To my knowledge Ms. ReQua is still here. Mr. Schmalz is now the principal at Appleton Elementary. There have been a few changes in 8-1 and 8-2, and a few changes in 6-2, etc., but I'll let you figure all of those out when y ou get back (that is, if your plans to move away fall through).
hi every1 i missed u guys! ok so i have so much to tell u (i was gone to montana and such for like a week if no1 noticed).
ok so first things first i was channel surfing in our awesome condo (it was like 5 bedroom 4 bath and i couldnt believe we got to stay in it, we wouldnt have been able to afford it except that it was paid for so my dad could go to his medical conference [which was about gross stuff like how to slit someones throat if their tongue swells so they cant breathe or if their how to safety pin their tongue to their lower lip to do cpr mtm] and we didnt get to stay there long cuz idk and we moved to a smaller one that was still awesome. so neway back to the channel surfing) and i went past animal planet (which i never do) and guess what?? THE TOUR WAS ON! ya and i watched it kind of except i was half asleep not cuz it was boring but cuz it was like 12 and i had to watch it with subtitles and whoever translated must have been french cuz it never made sense .
we saw some grizzlies and elk and stuff in yellowstone and i got lyn like 10 postcards. but i might keep them cuz theyre awesome.\
oh and i got really bad food poisoning in wyoming. it stank, literally. we had to stop like every 20min so i could puke my guts out all over the road. (i hope no foxes or coyotes or stuff tried to go eat it and got hit by a car) ya and i wasnt able to apreciate the view but i got so much practice i can now aim where it goes. so ya. if u get on my nerves then ya. ha ha jk. love yall and so glad to be back w/ friends (tho i did make some friends in montana and there was a hot guy in the survival class i took but i did miss every1 neway)
WHAT!! ms atwood LEFT!! no she cant do that to us after we lost gregg!! i hope formi stays or i am gonna blow up the school (when no1 is in it of course)
So Atwood is gone?!?!?!?! Who on earth is Ms. Brumback, I bet you that I will call her Brumbra for the longest time!!!! At this years fair I got Reserve Grand Champion Home Grown Market Lamb, it means that my lamb was second overall with the lambs that have been raised in Mesa County. I sold that lamb for 1050 dollars, sweet huh?!?!?!

so at the fair i worked at the snow shack witch is the place that makes awesome snowcones, so i got to work there and the cash regester was in love with me cuz before i was leavin i showed bradee or hayden i can't rember how to work it and i jamed right befroe i left. funny huh?!?!?!?!

Laura - To find the lcm of 18xy^2 and 15y^3...first, remember LCM is where you are making both monomials happy, so first you break them down in factor trees so that 18xy^2 is 2*3*3*x*y*y and 15y^3 is 3*5*y*y*y then you make sure that both are happy. You need one 2 to make the first monomial happy. You need two 3's to make the second monomial happy. You also need one 5 for the second monomial. You need one x or the first monomial won't be happy and you need three y's or the second monomial won't be happy. When you put them together you have 2*3*3*5*x*Y*Y*Y which simplifies to 90XY^3. I hope that made sense. If it doesn't give me a call.

hola. i am back from dc. it was ok............. a superhottie from the ice cream place is in love wit me but whatever..... unimportant.... i went shopping got these fancy pants... there pimp.... french. so r my cousins and yea... they go 2 france every year and might take me in a couple.... so anywhoo, i saw the documenty thingies... like the decleration of independence etc.... and the smithsonian.. whatever..... idk.
my cousins came 2 my house..... they r quiet..... anna and lyndsay and i met a firefighter from palisade that works @ the lincoln park pool named J.R. but we call him junior.... lol. he was nice..... lol. the end.
ha u sure have an appreciation for history choco. but i understand. shopping comes first

HI every body!!!!!i just got back from my vacation to San Diego,LA,and Las vegas!it was sooo much fun!we went to the sandiego zoo,sea world(I LOVE SHAMU!!!)and disneyland!when we wnet to vegas we almost got hit by a car!i shopped like every day and i swam in the ocean for the first time!i will just have to tell everybody more about my trip when we get to school(but i am dreading going to school and having like 5 hours of homework again)...:( but ya at least i will get to see u all!
PS:i dont know how many problems i need to do.i just finished the 11's.there are some problems that i really dont get and somet that i just forgot how to do...so im gonna have some questions when i go back to school. PSPS:ok i am SOOOOOO confused!!!! i dont know who our teachers are gonna be and i dont know what enritchment is!!!

To answer a few questions:
1) You should be through the #12's and should bring the packet the first day.
2) You will get lockers from me on the first day (I think I have you first block), so I wouldn't bring too much to carry around until then. Just pencil, paper, folders, etc. We will give out a supply list in each class.
I hope you all have had a great summer. I still have some work to do tomorrow to get ready for you all! I'm anxious to see everyone!
