Hello All,
Yes, I am very late in setting up my Week Seven posting. You have to understand, though, that the Tour de France started on Saturday and it isn't going to just watch itself! It needs me there. Every moment. Plus, I started a new class with a rather sadistic teacher who thinks that homework is like dessert or something crazy like that! Anyway, I have had a very pressing schedule.
Oh, and guess who is in my class? Ms. Brumback. Who's that you ask? Your new science teacher. While I can't give her my complete approval as she doesn't own a road bike (just a mountain bike), I know you will all like her. She's an MGMS/PHS graduate and was teaching at the high school in Rifle before coming here. It looks like she will also be coaching basketball and volleyball, and I hear she is quite a soccer player.
You will be happy to know, though, that I have been riding by most of your houses a couple of times a week (but probably way too early for you to be up) and thinking of the good ol' days when everyone got up and was working before 7 a.m. Ahhh...
Remember that all of the #8's are due by this Saturday.
Okay, back to my homework. Watch the Tour. It's on Versus. Team Discovery needs your help.
Cookie
p.s. George Hincapie is currently in 4th place!
p.p.s. The Tour. Watch it.

HI IM BACK!!!
camp was fun....i made a ton of friends....and i rapelled....and canoed....and fun stuff like that.
Hey Guys,
I finally finished with all of my homework from this last week's class. I have a week off before my next class so it's rest and relaxation for me (a.k.a. playing with the girls, cycling, and watching the Tour).
Shelbinator - Ms. Brumback said you have been known to hang out at her parents' house and she coached you in 5th grade in basketball, so maybe you have some dirt for me? I always try to have some on my teaching partners! :)
Neigh - Thanks for being so forgiving! I do make an effort to stay on top of things, but really, with this whole Tour thing going on, you need to prioritize. I think that's why there have been so few postings.
Kelso - Congrats on the baby! Post some pictures.
Abs - A couple of things. First, I met your violin tutor. She seems really nice. I'm thinking of signing up Jasmine to take lessons from her. Second, the guy in blue today was Tom Boonen. He really needed a win as his "lead out" man (from his own team) beat him yesterday. We can all relate to how embarrassing that must have been. As to the mummy guy, that was Alexandar Vinokorouv (Vino) who should remember as the guy was always attacking in the Tour we watched in class. He is the favorite to win this year's Tour, but crashed spectacularly yesterday and lost a minute trying to catch pack up to the peloton before the end of the stage. It was remarkable he only lost that much time because he was bleeding from about every part of his body (and it was pretty much PG -13 watching him as he lost most of his suit on the asphalt). Right after the race he went in to get treatment (30+ stitches on his knees, elbows, buttocks). I can't imagine how much pain he must have been in today and tomorrow begins the big climbs, so look for the favorites to attack him while he's weak.
Laura - Welcome back! I'm glad you had fun.
TTYL,
Cookie
